VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED
Sergeant At Arms Gary Parrington is looking for people to join the Colour Party. If you’re interested give him a call at 204-889-1494.
Training for Colour Party and Sergeant At Arms will be held at the Charleswood Legion Branch #100, on May 6, 2018 at 1300 hours (1:00 PM). Legions from Manitoba and North West Ontario are invited.
Wearing your uniform is not required.

Did you know that the Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a Nygard Fashion Show and Spring Tea?
Saturday May 5th from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Tank Room
Tickets are $8.00 and available at the Bar.
Paint Nite at the Legion, in the Afternoon.
Sunday April 22nd. From 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm a lite lunch will be served after.
Tickets are $45 and are available at the Legion or at www.paintnight.com until April 15th.
OTHER NEWS
The popcorn machine is fixed and back at the Legion.
The carpeting project in the back Sun Room is complete.
There is unconfirmed reports that Salt and Vinegar Chips may be available at the bar soon.
Thanks to the Coffee Time Newsletter for their help with promoting the Legion’s events. Copies are now available at the front door.

Meat draws Friday starting at 6:00 pm
Saturday starting at 3:00 pm
Friday Foods are 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm as usual; the menu is available in the Legion on the tables.
The Ladies Auxiliary is looking for new members. If you’re interested in helping out, call the Legion at 204-953-1240 and a member will contact you with all the information.
BYLAWS
The Branch By-laws are up for review, and a Notice of Motion to have the current By-Laws amended was passed at the last General Meeting 1 Mar 2018.
The proposed By-laws will be voted on for acceptance during the next General Meeting (24 May 2018); and, with a positive vote, forwarded to Command for final approval.
Please take your time to review the new document and be prepared to vote on it at the next General Meeting. A hard copy will be available at the Legion shortly.
Requests for changes or amendments to the proposed By-Laws should be forwarded to the President and CC’ed to the 2nd Vice President for consideration. Any requests should be received no later than 30 Apr 2018, to provide the membership the chance to review such changes.
