Sergeant Philip Lambert Moore

Phillip was born in Chester England January 27th, 1922. In 1938 at the age of 16, he joined the Royal air force Apprenticeship program at Halton. In 1941 he served with the R.A.F. in Carberry, MB. It was here he found his life companion Dorothy schneider from Brandon, MB. The married in 1942. They lived in England from 1944–48.

They returned to Canada and Phillip joined the R.C.A.F. in 1949. He served at bases in Rivers, MB, 2F Wing in Grostenquin, France, 1F Wing in Marville, France, and finally Gimli, MB, until his retirement in 1987.

Phillip was a member of the Royal Canadian Branch No. 4 and the R.C.A.F. 500 Wing. He contributed his time to the No. 220 Red River Cadet Squadron, which was his way of showing graditude and appreciation for his life in the service. Phillip died March 12, 1993. He was predeseased by his beloved wife Dorothy on January 17th, 1992. He was survived by his two daughters and their extended families.
