Private Theodore E. Langevin

Private Theodore Eugene Langevin proudly served with the Seaforth Highlanders from 1943 to 1946. This famed regiment was part of Operation Husky in Sicily and then took part in the campaign in Italy ending with the famed Battle of Ortona, where they perfected urban combat techniques in street to street fighting. They were transferred to Northwest Europe in 1945, and spent the final months of the war fighting the Germans there. During the war Theodore suffered several shrapnel wounds. He never fully recovered from these physical wounds nor the mental wounds the war scarred him with, and he died at 47.
