James Russell Hart joined the Canadian Army in 1954, serving with the 1st Battalion PPCLI until 1960. He married his wife Angeleen in 1958 and they had 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl. He passed in 2016 leaving behind 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
