The Charleswood Legion would like to thank Ikram Ullah and members of the Ahmadiyya Movement
in Islam Mosque who presented Comrade Brian Rodgers 2 nd Vice President a cheque in the amount of
$229.00 for the Legion Poppy Fund. The Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam Mosque has a population of
about 300 here in Winnipeg and supported the Muslims for Remembrance campaign every Friday
before Remembrance Day to showcase their support for the sacrifices of Canada’s armed forces. This is
their way to show support for Canada’s troops and veterans that sacrificed their lives for this country
and for those who are protecting us today. The Ahmadiyya Muslims have become the leading Muslim
organization to showcase support for Canadian veterans through their annual campaigns.
